KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting in Norwell, MA is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support project accounting, billing, AR/AP, and cash flow management in a hybrid work arrangement (4 days onsite, 1 day remote). The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction project accounting, hands-on Procore experience, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

The role collaborates with project managers and finance leadership to ensure accurate reporting and timely client invoicing.

Qualifications

5+ years of project accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
Procore experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience with construction billing, AIA contracts, payment applications, and subcontractor invoicing.
Familiarity with Sage 300 or similar construction accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage project accounting activities, including client billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash applications.
Prepare and oversee AIA billing, payment applications, lien waivers, and other project-related documentation and monitor billing schedules
Partner with project managers to review budgets, track change orders, and identify necessary financial adjustments.
Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals and compliance with company requirements.
Assist with work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, project forecasts, and month-end financial activities.
