Unknown construction firm south of Boston is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee the financial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The role involves budgeting, forecasting, billing coordination, and collaboration with project managers and the accounting team.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with at least 3 years of project accounting experience in construction, plus strong GAAP knowledge and proficiency in Procore

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Procore is a plus.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial aspects of construction projects including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Review and approve project budgets and cost estimates.
• Monitor project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project managers for timely and accurate client billing.
• Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide financial updates.
