Job summary

Tiello LLC partners with a highly regarded General Contractor in Boston, MA to recruit a Senior Project Accountant. This hybrid role supports project accounting and financial operations across multiple construction projects, collaborating with project managers and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely close.

The successful candidate will bring 3–5+ years of construction accounting experience, proficiency with Procore or Sage 300, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in construction or project accounting.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting procedures, project financials, budgets and forecasting.
• Experience with lien releases, A/P, A/R, payroll and taxes.
• Procore or Sage 300 is required; experience with both is preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities and financial transactions across multiple construction projects.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, costs, billings, and financial reporting.
• Review and process change orders and prepare lien releases.
• Reconcile A/P and A/R and ensure accurate project financial records.
• Assist with payroll, taxes, and audit activities as needed.
• Support project managers with financial insights and variance analysis.
