Job summary

Tiello LLC is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join a growing construction team in Boston, MA. This hybrid role focuses on managing project accounting activities, financial reporting, forecasting, and transactional workflows across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate brings 3-5+ years in construction accounting and is experienced with Procore or Sage 300, with strong attention to detail and collaboration with project managers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in construction accounting, project accounting, or related role within construction.
• Experience with General Contractors or Specialty Contractors preferred.
• Strong understanding of project financials, budgets, forecasting, billing, change orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities and financial transactions across multiple construction projects.
• Manage project financials: budgets, forecasts, costs, billings, and financial reporting.
• Review and process change orders (approved, unpriced, unapproved).
• Prepare lien releases and related project documentation.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable; maintain project budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close; prepare financial statements.
