Job summary

Kforce's Hartford area client is seeking a Construction Project Accountant to handle month-end closing, job costing, WIP and profitability reporting. The role supports the executive team with daily accounting records and bank/credit card reconciliations in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction/engineering/architectural accounting, experience with Sage 300 or Deltek, and the ability to work a hybrid schedule in Hartford, CT area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience within the Construction/Engineering/Architectural industry
• Experience with Sage 300 (Timberline) or Deltek Software
• Ability to work Hybrid schedule

Responsibilities

• Perform Month End Closing, Job Costing, Work in Progress, and profitability reports
• Prepare day to day accounting records for the Executive team
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Prepare year end data and journal entries for tax compliance
• Assist with supporting documentation for the CPA firm
