Job summary

Ambient Enterprises in Illinois is seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong background in project accounting and Microsoft Business Central. You will manage the month-end close, project cost reporting, and assist operations with BC functionality.

The position reports to the Midwest Controller in Chicago and requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central, and advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations; support budgeting.
• Oversee project accounting and reporting of costs, revenues and profitability.
• Be the system expert for Business Central; assist sales with CRM and accounting data.
