Job summary

Ambient Enterprises seeks a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support operating companies in Ohio. You will manage daily transactions, assist month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and help convert to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP.

The role collaborates with project teams to review costs and profitability, prepare financial reports, and leverage strong Excel skills with BC or similar ERP. Reports to the Midwest Manager in a growing HVAC services group.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years accounting experience.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

Accounts payable and receivable processing and cash forecasting.
Lead month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements.
Oversee project accounting, track costs, revenues and profitability.
Prepare and analyze GAAP-compliant financial reports.
Identify process improvements for accounting efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate reporting.
Assist in ERP conversion to Microsoft Business Central.
Support acquisition integration into the company structure.
