Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong project accounting background and Microsoft Business Central expertise. The position will reside in the MTI office with a reporting relationship to the Midwest Controller in Chicago.

You will manage the month-end close, project cost tracking, and financial analysis. You will coordinate invoices, cash flow forecasting, warranty and inventory tasks, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and strong

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

Lead the month-end close process with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
Oversee project accounting with tracking of costs, revenues, and profitability.
Act as system expert for Business Central and CRM integration with accounting.
Process invoices, cash receipts, and cash disbursements including sales tax.
Coordinate warranty work and inventory tasks with warehouse.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
