Job summary

Ambient Enterprises seeks a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support operating companies in Ohio. You will manage daily transactions, assist month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and help convert to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP.

The role collaborates with project teams to review costs and profitability, prepare financial reports, and leverage strong Excel skills with BC or similar ERP. Reports to the Midwest Manager in a growing HVAC services group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable and receivable processing and cash forecasting.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to assist with the operating companies in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a background in project accounting, inter-company, and knowledge of Microsoft Business Central. You will be responsible for the daily transaction processing, assisting with the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy and GAAP compliance of the financial statements, supporting various financial projects, and assisting in the conversion to Microsoft Business Central ERP system. This position will report into the Midwest Manager and assist with the key responsibilities across all operating companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable and Receivable Processing: Review, prepare, and process daily invoices and cash receipts, including any applicable sales tax. Assist with preparing the weekly cash forecast and processing of the cash disbursements.
• Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Project Accounting: Oversee project accounting activities. Work with sales team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs, revenues, and profitability.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business objectives.
• ERP Conversion: Assist in the conversion to Microsoft Business Central ERP system, ensuring a smooth transition and integration with existing financial processes.
• Acquisitions: Assisting with the integration of newly sought operating companies into the existing Company structure.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Technical Skills: Microsoft Business Central or similar and advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Estimated Salary: $85,000-$100,000/yr. with flexibility based on experience and skills
