Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defence Systems Sector is seeking a Manager Programs 2 in Plymouth, MN. You will lead cross-functional IPTs to deliver programs on cost and schedule while meeting technical requirements and building customer intimacy for future opportunities.

The role emphasizes program leadership, risk management, and strategic planning with exposure to DoD contracts and procurement processes. This position reports to the Program Director and requires Secret clearance eligibility where

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
• 8 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either a project lead, integrated program team lead or cost account manager.
• 6 years of demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.
• Knowledge of pricing and proposals.
• Competency in Project Management skills and toolsets.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship is a requirement)

Responsibilities

• Cultivating and maintaining effective customer relationships to develop opportunities within the customer community.
• Developing and supporting new business opportunities through long term strategic planning and proposals.
• Establishing and maintaining a program organization that addresses customer requirements and internal sub-organizations.
• Leading cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet cost, schedule and technical performance objectives.
• Establishing, measuring and reporting critical program performance metrics.
• Developing and delivering presentations to customers, executives and stakeholders.
• Negotiating contracts, changes, budgets, schedules, and terms.
• Defining design concepts and engineering efforts for product development and testing.
• Creating, reviewing, and finalizing the program Statement of Work.
• Managing program requirements and baselines.
• Ensuring adherence to master plans and schedules.
• Managing risk and opportunity throughout the program lifecycle
