Job summary

Sharetec Systems is looking for a technical problem-solver to diagnose and resolve issues across Progress ABL, databases, and Linux servers. You will own cases from investigation to resolution and participate in after-hours on-call rotations, collaborating with the team to improve existing technology.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, breaking down complex problems, and building expertise in Sharetec's technology environment. Remote-friendly with hybrid options in select offices.

Qualifications

• Experience with legacy codebases and non-traditional program structures.
• Proficient in Progress ABL and SQL.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to own issues through resolution in fast-paced environments.
• Clear communication and collaboration abilities.
• Associate's degree or higher in CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues within a legacy Progress ABL environment.
• Break large, ambiguous technical problems into manageable pieces and identify root cause.
• Troubleshoot issues involving applications, databases, Linux servers, and related infrastructure.
• Own technical cases from investigation through resolution, escalating when appropriate.
• Help restore systems during outages and other critical issues.
• Partner with teammates on difficult cases and share technical knowledge.
• Participate in a routine after-hours on-call rotation.
• Continue building expertise in Progress ABL, Progress databases, and Sharetec's technology environment.
