Job summary

Fairfax County Government seeks an innovative Programmer Analyst to build a data analytics program. You will be the sole development resource for SQL, Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SSRS reports, translating requirements into prototypes and final products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field with 3 years programming/analysis experience.
Five years of experience developing and maintaining Power BI reports.
Experience developing SQL queries and code.
Professional experience working with large datasets to develop complex metrics.
Experience with IT support for planning, zoning, or related public sector work.
GIS exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as lead programmer for complex technology solutions.
Define, design, and deliver technically advanced code and objects for applications.
Write, review, and deploy scripts, services, and integration logic.
Plan, package, and implement complex programs, routines, and utilities.
Configure and administer COTS applications and related databases.
Develop advanced test scripts and data; test, evaluate, and debug software systems.
Mentor less experienced programmers and provide guidance.
