Job summary

OCT Consulting, LLC is seeking a Data and Dashboard Developer to support a federal financial management program. You will build SQL data extracts, validate data, and create Power BI/Tableau dashboards for cost, workload, and program status.

Collaboration with IT, data providers, and customer teams will be essential, with emphasis on accessibility and data protection. The role requires 2+ years in data analytics, strong SQL, and experience with BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, dashboard development, or financial reporting.
• Proficiency with SQL and Power BI or Tableau; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SQL data extracts and queries from the cost management system.
• Develop and run data validation rules and month-end checks.
• Build and refresh dashboards in Power BI or Tableau for program status and cost trends.
• Produce visuals for weekly, monthly, and six-month status reporting.
• Support change and release management in JIRA and maintain logs.
• Ensure dashboards meet Section 508 and protect PII/Sensitive But Unclassified data.
• Support SharePoint repository and create user guides for dashboards.
• Handle ad hoc tasks and process improvement projects.
