Job summary

HarmonyTech Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Power BI Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise BI and analytics solutions from our Fairfax, VA office. The role focuses on Power BI dashboards, data models, and ETL enhancements to deliver actionable insights for clients.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Power BI development and strong SQL/DAX skills, with experience in data modeling, ETL, and data visualization. This onsite position requires U.S.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT, data, analytics, or BI experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Power BI development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
• Experience developing interactive dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and BI concepts.
• Experience with ETL, data transformation, and data preparation pipelines.
• Experience integrating Power BI with multiple databases and enterprise data sources.
• Knowledge of data security and row-level security (RLS).
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical analytics solutions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and not hold dual citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations.
• Gather requirements and translate them into technical analytics solutions.
• Design data models and optimize data transformations.
• Integrate Power BI with enterprise data sources and databases.
• Validate data quality and troubleshoot ETL pipelines and data issues.
• Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service with scheduled refreshes.
• Implement data security and access controls including RLS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Create technical documentation and user guidance.
