Job summary

Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York, NY seeks a Senior Programmer Analyst to develop applications in the current PeopleSoft environment and to support users while contributing to a transition to a cloud-based platform.

You will work on large projects within a team, design, test, and document changes, and partner with stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable solutions across HR, payroll, benefits and related modules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in PeopleSoft development.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HR, Payroll, and Benefits modules.
• Experience writing complex SQL scripts for data processing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with users and teams.
• Familiarity with cloud migration and ERP transformation is a plus.

Summary: The Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for developing applications and supporting users in the current PeopleSoft environment while contributing to a long-term transition to a cloud-based platform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Codes and tests programs based on projects assigned by the manager.
• Assists in the creation of design documents.
• Supports users including responding to help calls.
• Works on large requests as part of a project team.
• Analyses technical problems that arise and offers solutions.
• Prepares user documentation for developed systems.
• Supports system outside of normal business hours when needed.

Transition/Future Work

• System migration and integration design.
• Develop and support integrations using modern tools such as Workday Studio or Oracle Integration Cloud.
• Participate in data migration, mapping and validation activities.

In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the firm’s information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft including the Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits modules.
• Thorough understanding and experience with coding in Peoplecode, Application Engine, SQR, Application Designer, PS Query, and other technologies used in the PeopleSoft framework.
• Experience must include the design, creation, and implementation of new PeopleSoft modules (objects) to support business processes.
• Capable of writing complex SQL scripts for data processing and research.
• Oracle Database experience preferred.
• Knowledge in PeopleSoft Tax Updates (PUM and Change Assistant) is a plus.
• Exposure to or interest in Workday integrations or Oracle Cloud.
• Good interpersonal skills with users and co-workers.
• Communication skills, especially verbal.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and platforms.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• College degree and/or programming certificate.
• 5+ years of experience in PeopleSoft development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and ERP transformation for migration projects.

Compensation

The base salary range offered for this role will be between $130,000 and $180,000. Additional elements unique to each person may include skill set, experience level, performance, professional certifications, degrees, location, and the needs of the firm.

The total compensation package for this position may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses, and other benefits.
