Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Program Planning & Controls to lead the IMS discipline and R&O across satellite programs.

You will oversee a small team of schedulers and a Risk Manager, ensuring schedules, baselines, and risks are maintained to enable predictable execution. Responsibilities include defining standard practices, ensuring cost/schedule alignment, and integrating R&O with EVM inputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in program planning, scheduling, or program controls in aerospace/defense.
• Knowledge of ITAR/DFARS and cost/schedule risk management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of three Program Schedulers and one Risk Manager.
• Define standards of practice for schedule development, IMS, and R&O.
• Drive accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement in planning and controls.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedules per AUS policy.
• Ensure IMS reflects scope, WBS, dependencies, risks, resources, and contractual requirements.
• Align IMS with program execution strategies and EVM-related inputs.
• Provide R&O leadership and implement standardized R&O processes.
• Report schedule metrics, risk exposure, and integrated controls to PMO leadership.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Finance, Contracts, and Operations.
