  • Ensure customers are regularly informed of program status and potential issues.
  • Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of all project deliverables.
  • Participates in business development activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

We are, however, accepting applications for this anticipated need. The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Senior Program Manager. The Senior Program Manager will perform day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations performing professional services support to a federal client. The SPM will organize, direct and coordinate the planning and production of all contract support activities and ensuring all contract deliverables are being met. Demonstrates written and oral communication skills; has the authority and responsibility to identify and commit resources required to support effort. Tasks will include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinates the operation of departments to confirm that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Takes proactive steps to minimize delays in delivery.
  • Regularly communicates with customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program problems.
  • Responsible for all recruiting and hiring for the project as well as staff management
  • Regularly communicates with staff and subcontractors to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program problems.
  • Ensures that customers and/or clients are regularly informed of the status of the program.
  • Regularly communicates with management regarding the program's status and any problems or potential problems.
  • Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.
  • Responsible the on-time delivery of all project deliverables
  • Participates in business development activities
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Detailed knowledge of DOE, NNSA, Global Material Security (GMS), and Program systems.
  • At least ten years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience managing DOE contracts a plus.
Preferred Experience & Skills
  • PMP certification preferred
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
  • Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.
