Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead the cost-plus accounting and reporting portion of a NASA development program from our Palo Alto, CA offices, with optional remote work within the U.S., and to collaborate with NASA, internal teams, and leadership to deliver a spacecraft that meets customer requirements.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM; master’s degree may count as two years of experience.
• 10 years of experience including program management of large-scale engineering/manufacturing programs.
• Experience managing Cost-Plus government contracts (CPFF, CPAF, CPIF).
• Knowledge of FAR, NFS, and government contracting practices.
• Experience managing program financials: forecasting, funding, EACs, staffing, resource planning.
• Experience building trusted customer relationships with U.S. Government agencies.
• Ability to travel (10-15%).

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of cost-plus contract work ensuring technical, cost, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.
• Drive program performance through disciplined risk management and issue resolution.
• Provide leadership across matrixed, cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements within baseline budget.
• Manage program baseline and Contractual requirements ensuring obligations are satisfied.
• Create & manage program risk management plan with executable mitigations.
• Exhibit professionalism and leadership as primary focal point to customer representatives.
• Ensure integrity, responsiveness, and ethical business practices with the Customer.
• Own the financial performance: revenue forecasting, funding management, EACs, resource planning, profitability.
• Partner with Finance to develop operating plans, staffing, forecasts, and risk mitigations.
• Monitor program performance metrics and provide executive updates on health and risks.
• Balance customer objectives with sound business practices for long-term value.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/NFS and company policies.
• Oversee preparation of contractual reports, financial reporting, and executive communications.
• Lead contract modifications, award fee activities, audits, corrective actions, and closeouts.
• Partner with Contracts, Legal, and Finance to manage obligations and risk.
