Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager Lead to support a major public-sector client and provide leadership across a portfolio of complex capital projects. You will oversee consultant project teams, ensure consistent project delivery and quality, and serve as a key coordination point between AECOM, other partner firms, and the client’s Facilities Services organization.

The role manages five to eight resources, drives accountability, and coordinates statewide processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in construction, engineering or project management.
• Experience directing multiple concurrent capital projects at portfolio level.
• Public-sector capital program experience preferred; California/state experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise consultant project teams across multiple capital projects.
• Enforce project controls: schedule, cost, risk, change management, and document control.
• Coordinate with client leadership and Facilities Services; ensure delivery standards.
• Provide portfolio-level reporting and support budget/change proposals.
• Direct the work of associates and mentor staff on portfolio management.
