Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to provide staff support on government projects through design and/or construction phases. The role covers building modernization, renovation, and related activities, with emphasis on compliance and schedule adherence.

You will oversee inspection and documentation, coordinate with GC and inspectors, and lead change management to ensure timely, on-budget project delivery for clients in the US government sector.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus eight years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience managing budgets for construction projects.
• Strong leadership skills and effective communication.
• Familiar with construction and project management software tools.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience collaborating with government agencies in the DC Metro area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee validation of products and materials ordered for projects against specifications.
• Monitor construction performance and record activities to ensure doc compliance.
• Manage inspection work and ensure conformance to standards.
• Coordinate with the General Contractor and schedule tests/inspections.
• Review punch lists and drive substantial completion.
• Lead change management and approve pay applications.
• Coordinate project documentation with cost and schedule reviewers.
