Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager II to drive execution of company programs, overseeing cost, schedule, and technical performance.

You will serve as the central focal point for one or more programs, coordinating internal teams and interfacing with government and commercial customers. Responsibilities include managing the program life-cycle, risk, and budget; communicating status to stakeholders; and supporting proposals and BD activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent
• 5–8 years of Program Management experience
• Proven track record of running multiple, successful projects
• Experience managing firm fixed price programs with risk management and mitigation
• Experience in a highly technical environment
• Deep knowledge of project management methods, tools and processes
• Ability to interface effectively with internal teams and with government and commercial customers
• Basic familiarity with export licenses for defense products
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Some travel up to 20%

Responsibilities

• Manage program life-cycle from initiation to closeout
• Ensure customer alignment and overall satisfaction
• Define and manage program controls and success criteria
• Identify and manage program-level risks
• Coordinate and align project teams and dependencies
• Establish program priorities and communicate status to stakeholders
• Lead program meetings and reviews with customers and executives
• Develop and maintain program plans including budget and EAC
• Support creation and maintenance of product requirements
• Manage changes in scope and advise leadership on impacts
• Assist Business Development in bidding and capture efforts
• Prepare cost and technical proposals following company policies
