Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee complex programs, manage cost, schedule, and scope, and mentor other PMs.

You will act as a single point of contact for program activities with internal and external customers, driving program success and adherence to ITAR/EAR constraints. The role requires 12–15 years of PM experience on technical development programs, plus experience with earned value and government/commercial customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent
• 12–15 years of experience in Program Management
• Experience leading teams on advanced technical development programs
• Experience managing firm fixed price programs and risk plans
• Strong knowledge of Project Management methods, tools and processes
• Interface with internal teams and government/commercial customers

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership in development of program planning, requirements, and estimates
• Provide PM leadership for bottom-up cost/schedule/scope estimation and IMS development
• Ensure customer alignment and manage overall customer satisfaction
• Define and manage program controls and success criteria
• Identify and manage all program-level risk
• Lead program meetings and reviews with customer and executives
• Develop and maintain program plans including budget and EAC
• Lead and support creation/maintenance of product requirements
• Manage changes in program scope and advise leadership on impact
