Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee complex programs, ensuring cost, schedule, and scope targets are met. The role acts as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, guiding program execution and mentoring other PMs.

Responsibilities include leading top-down and bottom-up estimates, resource planning, risk management, and managing contractual deliverables. Travel up to 20% and collaboration with government and commercial customers are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent
• 12–15 years of program management experience
• Experience leading advanced technical development programs
• Experience managing CRAD development programs under OTA or FAR-15
• Proven track record of leading multiple concurrent programs
• Experience managing firm-fixed-price programs and risk plans
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Some travel required (up to 20%)

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership in development of program planning, top-down requirements, and cost/schedule estimates
• Lead bottom-up cost/schedule/scope estimation and IMS development
• Accountable for all contractual deliverables within funded level and period
• Monitor program performance metrics and ensure customer satisfaction
• Define and manage program controls and success criteria
• Identify and manage program-level risk
• Lead program meetings and reviews with customer and executives
• Develop and maintain program plans with budget and EAC
• Support creation and maintenance of product requirements
• Assist Business Development in bidding and proposals
• Ensure execution adheres to company policies and processes
• Lead PMs to produce program reports
• Other duties as assigned
