Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Senior Program Manager for Government & Defense to lead onboarding, implementation, and portal management for customers and suppliers across global operations.

You will support business development, contract eligibility, and pricing alignment while handling RFI/RFP/RFQ responses. This role emphasizes government certifications, compliance reviews, and profitability across programs.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in freight forwarding, with at least 10 years in Government & Defense verticals.
• Senior management experience in international logistics/sales for Government & Defense.
• In-depth knowledge of 3PL and supply chain management.
• Strong financial management capabilities.
• Extensive national and international networks beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage Customer Onboarding, Implementation, and portal management.
• Support Business Development, contract eligibility, and transport/digital solutions.
• Lead global pricing sourcing and ensure alignment with contracts and regulations.
• Produce responses to RFI/RFP/RFQ as needed.
• Oversee government certifications and contract compliance reviews.
• Prepare customer MBR/QBR/ABR as required.
• Adapt global standards to local needs while ensuring profitability.

Your role on the team: (job description)

• Manages Customer Onboarding, Implementation, as well as profile and supplier portal management
• Supports Business Development, Contract opportunity eligibility, and identifies transport and digital solutions
• Global pricing sourcing, ensuring that Pricing is in accordance with contract requirements and applicable regulatory controls
• RFI/RFP/RFQ response production (subordinate function)
• Management of Government specific certifications, as well as Compliance and Legal reviews of contracts
• Prepare customer MBR/QBR/ABR as/when needed
• Identify specific local needs and ensure adaptation of global standards to local needs
• Ensure profitability of the jobs/projects executed

What you need: (requirements)

• Requires 5-10 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, preferably 10+ years of Government & Defense vertical experience
• Needs preferably senior management experience in an international business environment in logistics and sales industrial handling Government & Defense business
• In depth knowledge of 3PL and supply chain management
• Proficiency in financial management.
• Strong national network, inside and outside of Geodis. International network will be an advantage
• Strong project management and risk management
