Job summary

GEODIS USA, LLC is seeking a senior logistics leader based in Winchester, VA to manage onboarding, implementation, and portal management. You will help shape opportunities in government and defense, source global pricing, and ensure regulatory and contract compliance across projects.

You will coordinate with cross‑functional teams, adapt global standards locally, and drive profitability while leveraging a strong national and international network.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in freight forwarding, with 10+ in Government & Defense preferred.
• Senior management experience in international logistics and sales.
• In-depth knowledge of 3PL and supply chain management.
• Proficient in financial management and pricing alignment with contracts.
• Strong national network; international network a plus.

Responsibilities

Your role on the team: (job description)

• Manages Customer Onboarding, Implementation, as well as profile and supplier portal management
• Supports Business Development, Contract opportunity eligibility, and identifies transport and digital solutions
• Global pricing sourcing, ensuring that Pricing is in accordance with contract requirements and applicable regulatory controls
• Management of Government specific certifications, as well as Compliance and Legal reviews of contracts
• Prepare customer MBR/QBR/ABR as/when needed
• Identify specific local needs and ensure adaptation of global standards to local needs
• Ensure profitability of the jobs/projects executed

What you need: (requirements)

• Requires 5-10 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, preferably 10+ years of Government & Defense vertical experience
• Needs preferably senior management experience in an international business environment in logistics and sales industrial handling Government & Defense business
• In depth knowledge of 3PL and supply chain management
• Proficiency in financial management.
• Strong national network, inside and outside of Geodis. International network will be an advantage
• Strong project management and risk management
