Job summary

Mercury Systems seeks a Principal Program Manager for the Data Management and Microelectronics (DM&M) line in Phoenix, AZ. Lead diverse cross-functional teams to deliver secure, ruggedized microelectronics for aerospace, defense, and space missions.

You will own program performance, manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality, and collaborate with contracts, finance, engineering and business development to meet customer needs and company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 8+ years of Program/Project Management/IPT lead experience in aerospace/defense.
• Experience leading technical projects for product development programs.
• Electronics or Aerospace & Defense industry experience.
• 100% onsite in Phoenix, AZ.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop execution plans for customer and internal programs, including schedules and estimates.
• Manage programs across scope, schedule, cost and quality over full lifecycle.
• Identify and manage scope changes through approval and execution.
• Ensure on-time delivery of documents and products.
• Perform risk and opportunities management and mitigation actions.
• Provide resource details for successful program execution and reporting.
• Respond to RFPs; coordinate proposals, schedules, estimates and compliance materials.
• Create statements of work and manage sub-contracts as needed.
• Report program status to leadership weekly and monthly with KPIs.
• Maintain customer engagement and drive actions for satisfaction and issue resolution.
• Contribute to process/tools improvements and internal audits.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Business Development.
