Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead the execution of complex, classified communication systems programs supporting critical national defense missions. This onsite role in Largo, FL will own contracts spanning hardware and software development, production, and sustainment, with accountability for cost, schedule, and performance.

You will align Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to manage execution, resolve challenges, and maintain disciplined financial controls.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 7 years of experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
• Experience leading hardware and software development programs in aerospace/defense/government contracting.
• Experience delivering programs using Earned Value Management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of multiple complex, classified communication systems programs, ensuring delivery against commitments, requirements, cost, and schedule.
• Provide program leadership across hardware and software development, production, and sustainment, aligning with customer expectations.
• Lead multidisciplinary Program Management Teams and coordinate across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts.
• Establish baselines, performance metrics, and execution controls including EVM and EACs.
• Identify and mitigate program risks, opportunities, and technical challenges.
• Serve as the primary customer interface, managing communications and escalations.
• Lead planning and execution reviews, communicating performance to leadership.
• Align resources with execution requirements and financial commitments.
• Manage contract scope, changes, and modifications with disciplined change control.
• Develop technical and cost proposals for modifications and new business.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contracting requirements.
