Job summary

Vertiv is hiring for a Project Manager to oversee multiple complex projects in a manufacturing setting. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across procurement, engineering, production, and quality to ensure on-time, on-budget, and to-spec delivery.

The role emphasizes risk mitigation, cost control, and proactive communication with leadership. In this position you will guide engineering releases and production planning, engage with customers and partners, and apply strong analytical skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline (or equivalent of education and experience).
• Mechanical / manufacturing background is highly desirable.
• Ability to integrate complex engineering and production concepts with project management systems and processes.
• Advanced knowledge of project cost and forecasting concepts (Earned Value, Baseline Change Control).
• Excellent communication, interactive and presentation skills are essential.
• PMP certification is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, determines, and drives project management activities to manage one or more moderate to significantly complex Projects.
• Provides expertise to review and drive execution of innovative solutions to technical issues. Delegates tasks to team members.
• Manages team executing work to ensure successful project execution (procurement, engineering, production, quality, etc.).
• Identify gaps and risks within the project and develop resolutions to mediate them.
• Develops cost, scope, and schedule framework for project elements and ensures delivery within cost, scope, and schedule agreements.
• Notifies Program Management Manager and leadership of escalations that require significant adjustments.
• Provides primary support and guidance to financial planning, monitoring, scheduling, and release of technical/schedule information for project planning.
• Leads financial planning, monitoring, reporting, scheduling, and communication for project planning and control.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline (or equivalent of education and experience)

Mechanical / manufacturing background

Ability to integrate complex engineering and production concepts and information with project management systems and processes

Advanced knowledge of business concepts and principles associated with project cost and forecasting including Earned Value, Baseline Change Control

Proven excellence in effective communication, interactive and presentation skills

Desired PMP certification is a plus but is not required
