Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the execution of complex, classified communications systems programs for national defense with direct ownership of contracts spanning hardware and software development, production, and sustainment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for a security clearance.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience leading hardware and software development programs in aerospace/defense/government contracting.
• Experience delivering programs using Earned Value Management processes aligned with EVMS standards.
• Experience with Agile methodologies in complex program environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of multiple complex, classified communication systems programs to meet contractual, technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Provide program leadership across hardware, software development, production, and sustainment activities.
• Lead multidisciplinary PMTs and coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts to deliver objectives.
• Establish baselines, metrics, and execution controls including EVM, EACs, and performance tracking.
• Identify and mitigate program risks, opportunities, and technical challenges with timely resolutions.
• Serve as primary customer interface, manage communications, escalations, and deliverables alignment.
• Lead planning and execution reviews, communicating performance and risks to leadership.
• Align engineering resources and staffing with execution requirements and financial commitments.
• Manage scope, configuration changes, and customer-directed modifications with disciplined change control.
• Develop technical and cost proposals for contract modifications and new opportunities.
• Support contract negotiations within authority while balancing requirements and financial considerations.
• Ensure compliance with government contracting, export controls, cybersecurity, and internal PM processes.
