Job summary

Material is seeking a highly autonomous Sr. Associate, Program Management to drive cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced agency/tech environment. This hybrid role is based near New York City, with options in Los Angeles or Austin.

You will lead smaller projects end-to-end, coordinate Brand Design, Social, Web Development, UX Research and Strategy, and leverage AI tools to optimize workflows. Strong communication and accountability are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of program/project management experience in an agency, fast-paced tech company, or media environment.
• Proven autonomy with ownership of projects and minimal oversight.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to boost productivity.
• Ability to drive projects across multiple disciplines (Brand Design, Social, Web Dev, Research, Strategy).
• Flawless written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Drive and accountability to move projects forward proactively.

Responsibilities

• Lead smaller, targeted projects from kickoff through delivery, while supporting senior PMs.
• Oversee day-to-day execution across diverse deliverables including Brand Design, Social, Web Dev, Research, and Strategy.
• Utilize AI tools to streamline PM tasks, draft documentation, and improve communications.
• Manage client relationships and cross-functional stakeholders with clear expectations.
• Develop detailed project plans, milestones, workstreams, budgets, and monitor profitability.
• Identify risks early and escalate as needed to leadership.
• Adapt to shifting client priorities and maintain team morale under tight deadlines.
