Job summary

Ducommun, a longtime aerospace and defense manufacturer with an Appleton, WI facility, seeks a Program Management Manager to lead the Program Management team and ensure the successful execution of programs.

You will partner with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Business Development to meet contractual requirements, drive continuous improvement, and develop a high-performing organization.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead without authority, negotiate and influence.
• Strong people and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and across levels.
• Experience in production control, contracts management, or project management.
• Detail oriented with customer service focus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Understanding of lean and six sigma principles.
• Experience with MRP systems.
• Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to Program Managers and Program Management Assistants.
• Manage workload and resource allocation across programs.
• Set department priorities and allocate resources.
• Develop department goals, KPIs, and functional metrics.
• Coordinate cross-functional issue resolution with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Business Development.
