Job summary

Steno is seeking a senior operations leader to define and drive cross-functional programs across multiple pillars. You will partner with senior leaders to align initiatives, manage scope, timelines, and success metrics, and mentor project managers to handle increasingly complex programs.

You will champion scalable processes, document operating models, and push for data-driven decisions while navigating ambiguity and high-stakes decisions in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in operations, business operations, or program management—or equivalent leadership impact in a relevant domain.
• Demonstrated track record of managing cross-functional work without positional authority
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort with ambiguity and high-stakes decision-making with incomplete information

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sr. Director to define quarterly initiatives and develop briefs with scope, stakeholders, timeline and success metrics
• Drive programs from initiation to close-out, tracking milestones and measuring outcomes
• Document how core functions operate and design scalable systems and tooling (playbooks, checklists, SLAs)
• Audit gaps, redundancies, and hand-off friction; recommend changes and track implementation
• Act as the connective lens across departments and flag conflicts or opportunities early
• Manage relationships between Provider Ops and cross-functional partners (Sales, Product, Support)
• Run quarterly planning sessions with pillar leaders to align on roadmap and surface risks
• Maintain a forward-looking view for the next 8 weeks including market shifts and product changes
• Manage project managers and mentor them into more complex projects
• Evaluate automation and AI tools to improve economics without adding unnecessary complexity
