Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a seasoned program manager to lead end-to-end capital programs across our distribution center network. You will drive stand‑ups, retrofits, and expansions, coordinating with engineering, IT, operations, and vendors to meet schedules and budgets.

You will also serve as the primary liaison to hospitals, handling delivery issues, storeroom organization, and inventory practices, while building dashboards to report progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in program management, engineering, or operations, with at least 3 years running capital programs.
• Proven delivery of multi-site deployments, on schedule and on budget.
• Direct experience commissioning material handling or automation systems.
• Operations management experience in a high-volume warehouse or DC.
• Experience managing programs of $[X]M+ in CapEx is preferred.
• Strong analytical and root-cause skills with ability to build business cases and track numbers.
• Experience with data and workflow tools; ability to build dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of multi-site capital programs from business case through commissioning and handoff to site operations.
• Lead new-site stand-ups, retrofits, and expansions across the DC network; set plan, sequence work, and hold vendors and teams to dates.
• Manage CapEx and cost-reduction targets; track spend against plan and flag variances early.
• Lead commissioning of automation equipment including conveyors, sortation, and robotics; define acceptance criteria and sign off on readiness.
• Work with engineering, operations, IT, and vendors to resolve design, integration, and schedule conflicts.
• Write standard work for sites to ensure gains are sustained.
• Act as point of contact for hospitals on deliveries, storeroom organization, and inventory management; build relationships with hospital supply chain staff.
