Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Project Manager in Roy, UT to lead large, complex programs with senior customer engagement and strong governance. You will drive schedules, budgets, and risk management while advancing agile practices and Earned Value Management in a highly secure environment.

The role requires US citizenship, active DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to pursue Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years, or PhD and 4 years. 4 additional years may be included in lieu of degree.
• US Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance, current and within scope, investigation date within last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance and SAP approval within company-defined time.
• Proven experience leading large, complex programs and engaging senior customers.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel; producing executive briefs and status reports.

Responsibilities

• Liaise among project management, teams, and customers to align objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor schedules, budgets, and risk registers with leadership dashboards.
• Lead creation and execution of program documents and processes.
• Manage EVM functions and control account management to track performance.
• Oversee requirements management with traceability and validation.
• Coordinate staffing, resources, and capability development to meet milestones.
• Facilitate program reviews and customer engagements with actionable outcomes.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) for decision making.
