Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Technical Manager, Urban Development (Senior Vice President) to lead complex urban development and transportation programs across the United States. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and drive client engagement while delivering high‑quality planning, environmental, design, and entitlement work.

The role requires 15+ years in infrastructure development, strong leadership, and the ability to travel extensively to client sites and project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level degree in a related field from an accredited program
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in management, planning, design and construction of infrastructure or development projects
  • Commercial, contractual and negotiation skills; knowledge of right-of-way, entitlements, zoning, financing, public outreach, and infrastructure design and construction
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented
  • Proven leadership, accountability for delivery, and ability to work long hours and travel

Responsibilities

  • Manage project teams across urban development and transportation projects in the US
  • Coordinate with disciplines including roadway, transit, structures, MEP, environmental and geotechnical
  • Prepare project reports, plans, specifications, and estimate bid packages
  • Ensure reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality
  • Lead client meetings and supervise junior/mid-level staff on projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on development programs
