Job summary

WSP USA in Seattle is seeking a Vice President of Transportation Planning to provide proactive, strategic leadership for the planning discipline, guide data-driven decision making, and support the growth and pipeline of transportation planning work across planning, design, strategic consulting, and program management.

You will lead large, complex projects and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• 12+ years in transportation planning in a corporate environment with regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to guide data-driven planning and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive leadership for the planning discipline and function.
• Oversee use of transportation data to assess modal operations.
• Lead large, complex transportation planning projects with budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams across all phases.
• Engage with Federal, State, and Local agencies and clients.
• Develop pursuit strategies and inform project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
