Job summary

The Salvation Army of the Twin Cities seeks a Senior Program Director to lead HOPE Harbor and Harvest Hills, guiding program development and ensuring high-quality, compliant services. This role oversees operations, staff, and financial stewardship to advance the organization’s mission.

Successful candidates will have a Master’s in Social Work or related field, 5+ years in human services, and strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Social Work preferred; related field considered.
• Five+ years in human services with 3+ years in supervisory/administrative roles.
• If Social Work degree, current state licensure required; LGSW or LISW preferred.
• Must pass background checks; valid driver’s license; MVR clearance.
• Strong leadership, organization, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing, HUD programs, and grant compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for programs.
• Ensure compliance, governance, and fiscal accountability.
• Oversee staff supervision and case consultation support.
• Develop and monitor program goals and budgets with HQ staff.
• Represent programs within the community and with stakeholders.
• Coordinate Advisory Council collaboration and recruitment efforts.
