Job summary

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Lubbock is seeking a CPS FBSS PD Supervisor III to lead a team, develop programs, and ensure compliance with policies. Ideal candidates have university-level social service education and documented supervisory experience. This exempt, full-time position offers a daytime schedule and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year university with major coursework in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, early childhood education, or a related field.
• CPS Supervisor II experience or four years of full-time supervisory/managerial experience in a social service field.

Responsibilities

• Oversees staff work and advises on program issues.
• Evaluates program performance using data, reports and observations.
• Prepares management reports and correspondence on program activities.
• Prepares and evaluates program budgets.
• Implements guidelines, procedures and policies and monitors compliance.
• Plans, assigns and supervises the work of others.
• Develops program goals and conducts trainings or technical assistance.
• Represents the agency with internal and external stakeholders.
• Plans, directs and assigns responsibilities and supervises staff.
