Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking a Program Director to lead major production programs from concept to delivery. You will coordinate engineering, operations, supply chain and finance while maintaining cost and schedule targets.

You will develop strategic program roadmaps, manage design concepts, and ensure customer satisfaction through formal reviews and transparent reporting. A senior leader with a track record of multi‑year programs is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-year programs from concept to delivery.
• Strong knowledge of program management principles, planning, scheduling, and execution.

Responsibilities

• Leads major production programs from contract award through delivery, ensuring cost, schedule, quality, and financial objectives.
• Develops and maintains program strategy, roadmap, and execution plans aligned with customer requirements and company goals.
• Manages design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for research, development, testing, integration, and production.
• Coordinates with Supply Chain to ensure material availability, supplier quality, and on-time delivery; mitigates risks.
• Acts as primary customer and senior management contact for program matters; leads reviews and reporting.
• Oversees proposals, budgets, statements of work, and contract terms including acquisitions and changes.
• Identifies and mitigates program risks; drives cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives.
