Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a senior program management professional to oversee engineering programs at a single location. You will manage all phases from initiation to delivery, coordinate plans, and drive technical performance to meet financial and business goals.

The role requires a DoD security clearance and a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, interact with executives and customers, and develop strategic objectives for ongoing and future programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field; nine or more years of progressively complex program administration experience.
• Demonstrates technical expertise and application of program management principles and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet deadlines.
• Must develop solutions requiring coordination across program requirements and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the program from conceptualization through completion, including acquisition, planning, and managing technical performance to ensure objectives are attained.
• Develop and coordinate program plans delivering to a single customer.
• Collaborate with technical staff and management to establish objectives for technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial outcomes.
• Contribute to development of Group/Company objectives and strategic plans.
• Work with engineering to set design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for development, testing, and integration.
• Interact with internal and external representatives to resolve technical and scheduling issues; serve as primary contact for program matters.
• Influence preparation of proposals, budgets, and contracts; negotiate terms and modifications.
• Ensure technical leadership by planning and developing talent within the team.
