Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a seasoned Program Manager to lead the planning, management, and technical performance of engineering programs at a single location. You will direct all phases from initiation through delivery, ensuring quality, schedule, and financial objectives are met.

Strong leadership and DoD clearance readiness are required. You will collaborate with engineering and management to develop plans, coordinate resources, and guide cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in engineering, science, or related field with nine+ years of program management experience.
• Extensive program management knowledge and leadership skills for organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads.
• Ability to develop solutions that coordinate technologies across program requirements.
• Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills for interface with management and customers.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours; ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of the program(s) from initiation through delivery, including planning and managing technical performance to meet objectives.
• Develop and coordinate program plans or delivery methods for a single customer.
• Collaborate with staff and executives to set technical, schedule, quality, and financial objectives for the program(s).
• Collaborate with engineering to establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for research, development, testing, and integration.
• Act as primary contact for program issues and customer communications; lead program reviews on cost, schedule, and performance.
• Influence preparation of proposals, budgets, and contract terms; assist in negotiations and modifications.
