Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Program Cost Control Analyst - Level 4 in the Space Sector, based on-site in Dulles, VA or Redondo Beach, CA. You will help prepare budgets, perform financial analyses, develop cost models, and support government funding requests.

This role demands strong data analysis, experience with EVM, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate forecasts and defensible estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience OR Master's with 6 years or PhD with 4 years.
• Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with financial analysis or reporting.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Set up cost control system and monitor costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
• Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, fact-finding and negotiation support.
• Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines.
• Perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including WBS development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis and visibility reports, estimates to complete.
• Build and maintain cost models for programs, proposals, and internal business cases (labor, material, ODC, overhead, and fees).
• Analyze cost drivers and sensitivities, and provide scenario analyses (e.g., what-if) for scope, schedule, staffing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve estimating accuracy and continuous improvement of cost and cash modeling methodologies.
• Other duties as assigned.
