  • Posting Summary: Rutgers University-Camden seeks a new Senior Program Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology (CCIB), this position serves as a key contributor to the development, implementation, evaluation, and long‑term institutionalization of innovative STEM graduate training programs supported through NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) and related federally funded initiatives. The incumbent will work collaboratively with faculty, trainees, institutional partners, and external stakeholders to advance student‑centered training models that enhance graduate student success, interdisciplinary collaboration, workforce readiness, mentorship, scientific software development, and emerging approaches to STEM education. The Senior Program Coordinator is expected to help shape the future direction of STEM training programs by identifying innovative practices, developing scalable training structures, evaluating program outcomes, and recommending improvements to graduate education and professional development models. The incumbent will contribute to the design of new educational frameworks, certificates, workforce development initiatives, and trainee support mechanisms that extend beyond the life of individual grants and become embedded within institutional practices. The position will support dissemination of program outcomes at national venues and is expected to participate in NSF-sponsored meetings, conferences, and professional development activities alongside Principal Investigators and program leadership. The role serves as both an operational and strategic contributor to the growth, sustainability, and expansion of NSF-funded training initiatives. This is a grant funded position contingent upon the availability of funds to support it.

  • Salary Details: Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.

  • Minimum Salary: 68278.480

  • Mid Range Salary: 84393.980

  • Maximum Salary: 100509.480

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, plus two years of experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • PhD in a STEM discipline or closely related field.

  • Prior participation in, or support of, an NSF-funded doctoral training program, research training program, or comparable interdisciplinary graduate education initiative.

  • Experience developing, maintaining, documenting, or distributing scientific software and computational research tools.

  • Experience preparing technical documentation, instructional materials, workshop curricula, or training resources for diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex technical, educational, and organizational information into polished products suitable for publication or broad dissemination.

  • Experience supporting scholarly publications, reports, white papers, or other forms of professional communication.

  • Experience working in interdisciplinary research teams involving faculty, graduate students, and technical staff.

  • Familiarity with version control systems, collaborative software development practices, open-source software, and digital repositories.

  • Experience with AI-assisted software development, scientific computing, or technology-enabled approaches to research and training.

  • Strong written communication, editing, and project-management skills.


Equipment Utilized: Scientific computing environments and programming languages (e.g., Python, R); scientific document preparation systems (e.g., LaTeX); version control and collaborative software-development platforms (e.g., Git and GitHub); code repositories and documentation systems; web publishing and content-management systems; digital archival and repository platforms; data-analysis and visualization software; videoconferencing and online collaboration tools; standard office productivity software.
