Job summary

Markel is seeking a Senior Client Service Business Analyst – Program Client Services in a hybrid role (office 3 days, remote 2 days). You will analyze customer programs, optimize processes, and drive data-driven improvements across underwriting, claims, and accounting functions.

The role focuses on designing system efficiencies, impacting premium processing, reimbursements, and financial reconciliations while partnering with executives and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting and/or Finance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with executives and partners.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Team player who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions from brokerage community; assist with quotes, submissions, policy issuance and endorsements.
• Review underwriting guidelines and elevate issues as needed.
• Process invoices and monitor reinsurance contracts for timely settlements.
• Reconcile cash balances; work with accounting to ensure premiums are recorded and collected.
• Support audits by coordinating documentation and responses.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support program execution and process improvement.
