Job summary

RLI Corp. in Chicago is seeking a Technical Claim Manager to oversee professional liability claims from first notice of loss to final resolution within our MPL and E&O portfolio.

You will investigate, analyze, and manage coverage, liability, damages, and reserves while coordinating with surveyors, adjusters, attorneys, and experts. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field and at least five years of experience in legal or insurance claims.

Qualifications

• Professional liability claims experience required.
• Experience with E&O and MPL claims.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to testify in court and work with underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Manage claims from first notice to resolution.
• Assess coverage and issue coverage letters.
• Coordinate with surveyors, adjusters, attorneys, and experts.
• Attend mediations, settlements, and trials as needed.
