Job summary

RLI Insurance Company in Bala Cynwyd, PA, seeks a Technical Claim Manager to lead professional liability claims from notice to resolution. You will supervise surveyors, investigators, adjusters, and experts, and coordinate coverage analysis, reserves, and settlements within our MPL/E&O specialty.

You will assess coverage issues, draft letters, and pursue risk transfer opportunities while adhering to best practices. Travel to mediations or trials may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or related field.
• 5+ years of related claims experience (legal or insurance).
• Experience with professional liability, E&O.
• Ability to analyze coverage issues and reserve appropriately.
• Ability to testify in court and coordinate with underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Handle professional liability claims to resolve fairly and expediently.
• Assess coverage issues and issue letters/documentation.
• Complete timely investigation and post appropriate reserves.
• Pursue risk transfer opportunities and indemnity issues.
• Travel to mediations, settlements, and trials as warranted.
