The role involves actively managing professional liability claims across jurisdictions in the United States and delivering timely resolution strategies. Key responsibilities include assessing coverages, drafting position letters, and coordinating with counsel, underwriters, and brokers.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage professional liability claims across jurisdictions in the United States.
• Develop resolution strategies to mitigate indemnity and expenses.
• Assess coverages, draft positions, and coordinate with coverage counsel.
• Maintain contact with underwriters, brokers, and senior management.
• Investigate claims and review insureds' materials and pleadings.
• Identify applicable statutes and case law in each jurisdiction.
• Analyze risk transfer, additional insured, and indemnity issues.
• Retain or direct counsel as needed and oversee resolutions.
• Assess reserves and present written/oral reports to senior management.
• Maintain claim diaries and respond to inquiries from stakeholders.
