Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking an experienced claims professional to join the Professional Liability Team, focusing on Lawyers Professional Liability.

The role involves actively managing professional liability claims across the United States within Arch's claims division. The candidate should have JD and bar license with 3–7 years’ experience in commercial claims, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate required.
• 3–7 years of commercial insurance claims experience with primary or excess carrier.
• Active adjuster licenses in all applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement timely resolution strategies to mitigate indemnity and expense exposure.
• Identify and assess coverage issues and draft coverage position letters; retain counsel when necessary.
• Maintain contact with underwriters, defense counsel, program manager, and broker to communicate developments.
• Investigate claims materials, pleadings, and relevant documents.
• Identify applicable statutes, rules, and case law for jurisdictions.
• Analyze coverage, liability and damages for reserves; present findings to senior management.
• Retain and direct counsel in line with resolution strategy.
• Maintain diaries and respond promptly to inquiries from insured, counsel, underwriters and management.
