Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. in Denver seeks an experienced professional liability Claims professional to actively manage lawyers'' professional liability claims across the United States. You will work with underwriters, defense counsel and brokers to align strategies and outcomes.

The role requires strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills, with 3–7 years of related experience, JD or equivalent, and active adjuster licensing. Colorado applicants welcome.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and active adjuster licenses in applicable states are required.
• 3–7 years of experience with a primary/excess carrier, broker, or law firm supporting commercial accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree and active adjuster licensing are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement timely resolution strategies to mitigate indemnity and expense exposure.
• Develop strategy for coverage issues aligned with overall matter strategy.
• Identify and assess coverage issues, draft position letters, retain coverage counsel as needed, review opinions.
• Maintain contact with leaders, underwriter, defense counsel, program manager, and broker.
• Investigate claims and review insureds’ materials and pleadings.
• Identify jurisdictional statutes, rules, and case law applicable to claims.
• Analyze risk transfer, additional insured, and contractual indemnity issues.
• Retain and direct counsel consistent with strategy.
• Analyze coverage, liability and damages to support reserves.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on issues affecting reserves.
• Maintain claim diaries and respond promptly to inquiries from stakeholders.
