Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking an experienced Origination professional to lead the development and execution of commercial opportunities in the Americas region. You will originate products and feedstock opportunities, negotiate high-value deals, and leverage ExxonMobil’s global scale to capture value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills preferred.
• Experience in refined products trading, origination, or commercial business development.
• Strong understanding of refined products markets, including supply, demand, pricing, and logistics.
• Proven ability to identify, negotiate, and execute commercial opportunities that generate value.
• Experience working with suppliers, refiners, traders, customers, and logistics providers.
• Knowledge of physical commodity trading, contracts, and risk management.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively across a large organization including Trading, Operations, Value Chain, Finance, and Legal teams.
• Experience developing new business opportunities, entering new markets, or expanding trading portfolios.
• Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated track record of delivering commercial growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Originating and pursuing products and feedstock opportunities to capture arbitrage and generate value.
• Identify, develop, and execute market-facing opportunities leveraging ExxonMobil scale.
• Lead structuring, negotiation, and execution of high-value deals.
• Apply structured finance solutions to increase profitability and manage risk.
• Evaluate alternatives and devise deal enhancements to maximize margin.
• Develop external relationships with buyers, suppliers, refiners, traders, and financiers.
• Maintain active pipeline of third-party opportunities.
